In the cargo hold

On Mango aircraft all pets are required to be transported in the pressurised cargo hold, excluding guide dogs. Guest must supply valid health and vaccination certificates to ensure that their pet will be accepted for carriage.

Please note: Pet fees are only payable at the airport, and the number of pets allowed as cargo is subject to space availability. For this reason, it is essential to pre-book your pet in advance of your flight. Please telephone our call centre on 086 100 1234 to secure a reservation, or for further details and assistance.

OFF TO A FLYING START

To avoid disappointment, make sure that you pre-book your pets.

Mango will transport your pet provided that the following conditions are met:

  • Guests supply suitable pet transportation containers
  • The pet and container combined may not weigh more than 32 kg
  • Only two containers will be accepted in the cargo hold of each aircraft
  • Only one animal is permitted in each lockable container
  • The container is leak proof and meets all government requirements for safe and humane transportation
  • Soft-sided containers are not allowed in the cargo hold of the aircraft
  • Containers are made of metal, polyethylene or fibreglass
  • Containers are subject to inspection and approval by Mango
  • Pet containers must be accompanied by a Guest with a booking at check-in
  • One Guest may transport two pet containers in the cargo hold if there is space available.

Mango cannot be held accountable should anything happen to a Guest’s pet at the airport or during the flight.
