Each confirmed Guest has a free baggage allowance of 20 kg. Mango Plus guests have a generous 30 kg baggage allowance. Infants have a free baggage allowance of 10 kg.
Additional weight will be charged at the current excess baggage rate. No single piece of luggage exceeding 32kg will be accepted for carriage. Carry-on baggage is subject to the following restrictions:
- Not exceed 115 cm (56 cm + 36 cm + 23 cm)
- Not exceed one bag at 7 kg's.
- In addition to carry-on baggage, you may carry aboard a handbag and overcoat whilst guests with infants seated on their laps, may also carry a small bag catering for the in-flight needs of the infant (i.e. feeding bottles, nappies and medication).
- You must not include in your baggage toy guns, cutlery, knives, scissors, syringes, blades, nail clippers or other sharp objects that appears to be/could be used as weapons.
Failure to adhere to the Carry-on baggage restrictions is in violation of CAT-OPS-121 Civil Aviations If your baggage is lost or damaged, please notify a Mango representative at the airport.
Unusual Baggage:
Each of the following items may be classified as checked baggage. Checked baggage is subject to our terms and conditions:
Bicycle:
We recommend that bicycles are packed in a shipping box as Mango does not provide this. A handling fee will be charged. Limited reliability released tags are required.
Artistic Items:
These include pictures, drawings, statues, models, souvenirs, other art objects, curios and similar articles. These Items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest. Limited Liability release tags are required.
Ceramics/Chinaware/Glass:
Pots, statues, bowls, dishes, glasses or other containers made of clay hardened by heat, earthenware, crockery, and containers or ornaments made of porcelain or baked clay; and items made of or containing glass and similar articles. These items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Dry Ice:
We accept solid dry ice in small quantities(maximum 2.5 kg’s) in the Cargo hold. Dry ice must be used as a refrigerant for the contents of a package, and must be packaged in a ventilated container. The container must be marked with the name of the contents being cooled, net weight and also marked Carbon Dioxide. This must be declared at check-in.
Electronics/Mechanical:
All video and audio devices including - but not limited to - televisions, radios, stereo equipment, IPods, cameras and their accessories, computers, hair dryers, sewing machines, specialized equipment, and similar articles. These items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Household Articles:
Lamps, lamp shades, furniture and items of a similar nature are acceptable if properly packaged. These items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Incubators:
Incubators are not accepted.
Liquids:
Any liquid transported in any container is considered fragile and must have a Limited Liability Release.
Liquor Cartons:
Liquor cartons will be allowed in the cargo hold. These items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Perishables:
These include cut flowers, plants, foods, untreated animal skins or hides and similar articles requiring maintenance at specific temperatures such as medicine, whole blood, and blood cells. Items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Photographic:
This includes all cameras including, but not limited to, VCR recorders/players, photoflash equipment, photometers, spectroscopes, photo tubes, and/or other similar device that use sensitive tubes or plates and film (still or movie), exposed or unexposed; as well as all related attachments or accessories. Items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Precision Instruments:
This includes microscopes, oscilloscopes, meters, counters, polygraphs, electrographs, medical equipment and similar articles. Items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Recreational:
This includes backpacks, sleeping bags, and knapsacks made of plastic, vinyl, or other easily torn material with or without metal frames, outside pockets, or protruding straps and buckles and other sporting or recreational items not contained in a rigid heavy case. Items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
The following items are considered as Sporting Equipment and are part of your Checked baggage allowance, any excess baggage will be charged at the current rate:
Bowling:
This includes 1 bowling ball, 1 bowling bag and 1 pair of bowling shoes. These items are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest.
Fishing Equipment:
These items must be boxed or in a case. Fishing equipment is included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Limited Liability Release tags are required.
Golf Equipment:
Golf bags will be included in the checked allowance of 20 kg and excess baggage will be charged & levied where applicable. Limited liability release tags are required in all instances.
Tennis Racquets:
These are accepted only with Limited Liability Release tags and are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed.
Surfboard:
These are accepted only with Limited Liability Release tags and are included each way in the checked allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest, and must be properly packed. Surfboards are subject to aircraft space availability.
Scuba Gear:
Consisting 1 Scuba Regulator, 1 Tank Harness, 1 Tank Pressure Gauge, 1 Mask, 2 Fins, 1 Snorkel, 1 Knife, and 1 Safety Vest per Guest. All diving equipment must be properly encased. Limited Liability Release Tags are required.
Please note: Scuba tanks must be accompanied by documentation to prove that they are empty before they can be accepted on any Mango flight. Spear guns will not be accepted for travel.
Firearms/Shooting Equipment:
Guest are not allowed to carry firearms under any conditions.
Lost or Damaged Baggage:
If your luggage is lost or damaged, please notify a Mango representative at the airport.
Excess Baggage:
The Maximum weight allowance, without charge, for checked baggage is 20kg. Baggage in excess of the checked baggage allowance will be charged at the current rate per kg each way. No piece of luggage exceeding 32kg will be accepted for carriage.
