Cape Town diary: Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts 2019/20

October 23, 2019

The annual Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts have become a staple on the Cape Town events calendar, showcasing top musicians from across the country and continent.

Every year, the outdoor concerts held in the world-famous botanical garden attract thousands of music lovers. Whether you love rock, folk, local beats or even opera, this year’s lineup will have something for you.

Even if you’re not a die-hard fan of any of the musicians (which we promise you’ll be by the end of the evening), the setting on the vast lawns, and the beautiful views of Devil’s Peak, accompanied by music and dancing under the stars, make a sunset concert a bucket-list experience for anyone who visits the Mother City.

Be sure to arrive a few hours before the show so that you can enjoy a leisurely walk through the gardens, and snack on a pre-concert picnic.

The concerts take place every Sunday from mid-November to March, and is a high-end calendar event, so book your ticket before it sells out!
