Celebrate the end of another year in an idyllic setting of starry skies and rolling lawns at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Join the Alcazar New Year’s Eve celebration in a lavish festival setting at the foot of Table Mountain. The immersive art and entertainment experience will whisk you away to far-off lands. On New Year’s Eve, Cape Point Vineyards in Noordhoek will transform into a giant disco for the highly anticipated Grand South NYE 2018 event. DJ René (better known as “The Frenchman” in music circles) will keep you on your feet the whole night. Considering the disco theme, you’d better come dressed to impress!

Toast the last sunset of 2018 at the top of Klapmutskop
Hike through the heart of the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy and through part of a yellowwood forest to reach the top of the Klapmutskop in the Stellenbosch wine region. At the top of the hill, you won’t only be greeted by panoramic views of the winelands and Table Mountain, but there will also be a glass of bubbly waiting for you. Depending on your fitness level, you can hike the entire 9.75km route, or choose to hop on a farm vehicle and only hike 4.5km each way.
